The Journey Continues

  • I just wanted to share this email from a friend way back March 2006. So affirming lang with the YFC Metrocon and RYC theme this year "YFC CHRONICLES: The Journey Continues."  It made me reminisce how we started our Journey.
    -------------------------------------
March 14, 2006 (btw I edited some lines from the original)

I never thought I could even last this long, 5years serving in YFC and running two years in KFC. I've been into many hardships, trials, oppressions, temptations and persecution but praise God I'm still here enduring.
"Dami nang pait na pinag da-anan, luhang tumutulo na lang..."
Pero the love of God is overflowing more than evrything combined. I was reminded by a book I read before, it says, "There is nothing for us to be afraid of tears, for tears bore witness that we have the greatest of courage, the courage to suffer." You know what, almost 7 years na tayo in the mission with a spirit filled experience. What a journey!!! Full of contradictions, you get hurt for people to be happy. You have to let go of yourself, you have to die, deny and empty yourself with your own emotions, feelings and desires for God to fill us up to the brim. Ang hirap palang mamatay with yourself. Our journey is a continuous walk towards becoming like Christ. And sometimes I feel alone in the midst of people, sometimes, you feel walang nag -aalaga sayo, sabi ko ang hirap palang magmahal kung ikaw din feel mo ay less love or longing for love. Sabi ko Lord napagod yata akong magmahal and yet God even in this situations allowed me to experience victories. Kaya mga kapatid lets pray for one another. Kasi  I know God has allowed us to experience all these things because He wants us to be victorious in all aspects of our lives. Ang layo na nga ng ating nalakad, pero hindi pa tapos, sama sama nating lakarin ang daan patungo kay Kristo. O4 The journey Continues...
